A Sport Psychology Self-Instructional
Manual
for Hockey Players
By Garry Martin
For a hockey player to be the best
that he/she can possibly be, and to perform to the best of his/her
ability on a consistent basis, that player must combine physical
talent with effective mental preparation. During the past 20 years
Garry has worked with hockey players from the Canadian Junior
Hockey leagues, with male and female College players, and with
professional hockey players to help them improve their mental
skills. Mastery of the mental skills and exercises described in
this manual will help hockey players to play to the top of their
potential. Also, the mental skills to improve hockey playing are
valuable life skills.
